Marandon!

Hello, I’m Marandon, a level 75 (and rising) paladin. I’d like to apply to join MEAN. This is my main active character and my only real character on Horde side. (I also have high levels on alliance side but Marandon has now overtaken them and I don’t play alliance any more). I’ve spoken to Raest and read your guild code and feel that MEAN could be the right guild for me. If you would prefer me to level to 80 first and then re-apply that's fine.

How old are you?: 33

What Guilds were you in before?:
Metal blades – a levelling guild that I have been in since level 20 and earned the rank of second in command. Sadly I have now outgrown this guild.

How do you feel about PvP?:
PvP is dynamic and challenging - I’ve tried hardcore raiding in the past and found it deadly boring. I’m interested in all forms of pvp (battlegrounds, arena, Wintergrasp). My aim is to hone my skills in the company of pvp-minded people and to be an effective pvp team player. As with anything else in a game - above all it should be fun!

What can you do for MEAN?:
In my current guild I am a trusted and responsible first officer. I’m a mature, sensible player who can listen to commands and follow orders from a team leader. I can be very friendly and sociable in guild chat, if I'm not talking then it means I'm really focussed on what I’m doing and just need to concentrate! I’m helpful within reason although I can’t stand constant requests for boosts and handouts from lazy people! I’m also a jewelcrafter and happy to add my services to the guild.

What are your expectations from MEAN?:
A good social atmosphere and sense of community. Active guild leaders & officers who participate and organise regular events. Team pvp!

Are you ready to showup at Raidnights and help fellow guildies when needed?:
I'm keen to participate in team activity. In real life I do have a commitment in the form of a cute but demanding toddler which means that my play time is limited. I usually play between 8pm-12pm server time each evening after he’s gone to bed. Sometimes also for an hour after lunch on Fridays and weekends when he’s having his nap. If there is a special event that starts when he's awake then I'll do my best to arrange with the other half so that I can turn up for it.
I’m happy to listen to teamspeak but will be unable to speak, as I can’t risk waking my toddler up when he’s asleep. I can type fast so I hope this is not a problem!

Are you ready to always improve your gear?:
My plan is to get to 80, pick up a saronite plate set along the way to get me started and then start work on upgrading gear from a combination of pvp/arenas and pve where necessary.
